Responsibilities:- Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients under the guidance of veterinarians.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians, meticulously documenting all procedures in our practice management software.
- Maintain accurate and detailed veterinary medical records, ensuring clear communication between team members and clients.
- Collaborate with veterinarians and other technicians to provide comprehensive patient care, including pre- and post-operative support.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by fostering teamwork and open communication.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Veterinary Technician certification (CVT) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Three to five years of experience in veterinary medicine, with a focus on emergency, surgery, or specialty practice.
- Comprehensive knowledge of animal care and nursing principles, particularly critical care protocols.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and surgical procedures.
- Proficiency in operating veterinary equipment and utilizing various materials effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling clear and concise interactions with clients, veterinarians, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving abilities.
- Physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds.
