Job Summary

As an Administrative Support Specialist at Mass General Brigham, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to our clinical teams. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate calendars, schedules, and appointments for surgeons and physician assistants. You will also be responsible for providing routine and complex administrative support, including typing memos and letters, answering telephones, and taking and distributing messages.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate calendars and schedules for multiple surgeons and physician assistants
• Schedule clinic appointments, surgeries, testing, and procedures
• Provide administrative support, including typing, answering phones, and taking messages
• Assist with training and orienting staff as needed
• Provide cross-coverage as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; post-high school education preferred
• Minimum three years of applicable work experience required
• Additional training in office systems preferred

Working Conditions

This role is based in a hospital-based ambulatory practice, and you will be working in a fast-paced environment with some exposure to communicable diseases, unpleasant odors, needles, and blood products. You will be expected to work within legal, regulatory, accreditation, and ethical practice standards relevant to the position and as established by Mass General Brigham/Partners. You will also be required to follow safe practices required for the position and comply with appropriate Mass General Brigham and Partners policies and procedures.
