Position Summary:

As a Landscape Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee a small crew engaged in various landscaping tasks across commercial properties. Your responsibilities will include mowing, weed control, and irrigation system assessments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a love for outdoor activities, and a commitment to cultivating and preserving stunning landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of landscape maintenance personnel, ensuring their safety and the quality of their work
  • Executing lawn care duties such as mowing, edging, weeding, and maintaining garden beds
  • Applying fertilizers and pesticides in accordance with safety regulations
  • Operating and servicing landscaping machinery
  • Upholding company standards and striving for operational efficiency
  • Communicating effectively with clients, management, and team members
  • Conducting equipment inspections and performing minor repairs
  • Adhering to local regulations and environmental standards

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; a degree in horticulture is advantageous
  • At least 2 years of experience in commercial landscaping
  • Familiarity with landscaping tools and equipment
  • Understanding of local flora, fauna, pests, and diseases
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Capability to perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions
  • Preferred: Certified Pesticide Applicator's license

Hours: 30 – 40 hours per week
