Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a crew of 2-4 landscape maintenance team members, ensuring their safety, productivity, and quality of work
  • Perform routine lawn maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, weeding, and garden bed weed treatment
  • Apply fertilizers and pesticides according to safety instructions and scheduling
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers
  • Adhere to company standards and procedures, while constantly striving to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our services
  • Communicate effectively with clients, management, and team members
  • Perform daily equipment checks and minor repair work
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with local regulations and environmental guidelines

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. A degree in horticulture or a related field is a plus
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a commercial landscaping environment
  • Proficiency in using landscaping equipment, power tools, and hand tools
  • Knowledge of local plants, grasses, and trees, as well as the pests and diseases that affect them
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to perform physical work, including lifting heavy items and working in all weather conditions
  • Certified Pesticide Applicator's license is a plus
