Working Title
Open Educational Resources Program Manager

Position Grade
10

Position Summary

The Program Manager will play a crucial role in the organization and coordination of the daily financial, administrative, and operational functions of a grant initiative at the University of New Mexico, supported by the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education through the U.S. Department of Education. The New Mexico Open Educational Resources Consortium Pilot Program will oversee an Open Textbooks Pilot Program and will expand a consortium of New Mexico colleges collaborating to promote the integration of Open Educational Resources (OER). To effectively manage a program of this magnitude, the Office of Digital Initiatives and Scholarly Communication, which houses the OER initiative, requires additional assistance with outcome reporting, budgeting activities, and stakeholder collaboration, and this Program Manager will fulfill that need.

The Program Manager will deliver administrative support for the daily financial, administrative, and operational tasks associated with a program of this scale. The primary responsibilities for this role will include assisting the Program Director with grant execution and adherence to grant guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess experience in grant management and a strong interest in outcomes assessment, diversity and inclusion initiatives, OER advocacy, and student achievement. Additional responsibilities will encompass aiding in grant planning and administration, fiscal and budgetary transactions, program execution and management, serving as an internal and external operational liaison, program promotion, and reporting.

This is a full-time, term position linked to the grant funding period, with potential for extension based on new funding opportunities. This position will report administratively to the University of New Mexico while supporting a grant-funded program accountable to New Mexico's Higher Education Department and the federal Department of Education.

This is a full-time temporary role funded through a grant.
