  • Administers medications effectively, as verified through observation and skills assessments.
  • Delegates and supervises patient care tasks appropriately within the healthcare environment.
  • Communicates effectively with healthcare team members, fostering teamwork.
  • Utilizes healthcare information systems for order management and patient documentation.
  • Exhibits safe clinical practices, demonstrated through skills assessments and competency evaluations.
  • Coordinates patient care plans based on the latest evidence-based practices.
  • Records all nursing interventions, changes in patient conditions, and responses to treatments in compliance with standards.
  • Shows reliability, dependability, and adaptability in all tasks.

Resource Management:

  • Utilizes and maintains medical equipment and supplies efficiently.

Patient Experience:

  • Educates patients, families, and caregivers according to care plans.
  • Delivers services to patients and families with respect and sensitivity to their diverse needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education:
    • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent nursing diploma.
  • Licensure: Active nursing license in the state of practice.
  • Certifications:
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to employment.
    • Additional certifications as necessary for specific units.
  • Experience:
    • At least one year of experience in acute care settings is essential.
    • Must fulfill unit-specific care criteria.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English, both written and verbal.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination necessary for clinical tasks.
  • Corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges are required.
  • Ability to lift, turn, and mobilize patients or equipment throughout the shift.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 40 pounds independently for a portion of the shift.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for the majority of the shift.
  • Potential exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases.
