Pediatric Nurse Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Nurse Specialist to join our team at GenCare Solutions. As a Pediatric Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our pediatric patients, promoting their health and well-being through the nursing process. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in carrying out rehabilitation programming and activities for pediatric patients, including the development of social skills and daily living skills
  • Provide personal care services to patients, including oral hygiene, bathing, and hair care as needed
  • Administer medications to patients orally, intra-, or via feeding tube subcutaneously
  • Monitor the effects of medications and record patient reactions
  • Observe and monitor the movement and activities of patients in the pediatric unit

Requirements:

  • Valid RN license issued by the Florida Board of Nursing
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required
  • Must be able to pass a Level II background check
  • Must be able to regularly lift and carry at least 50 lbs. safely
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional time management and attention to detail
  • Prompt documentation and reporting skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a pediatric care setting, preferably with medically complex patients
  • Knowledge of medications and treatments used in patient care
  • Experience with tube feeding, tracheostomy, wound care, and other pediatric-specific treatments
