Clinical Nurse Specialist

This is a challenging role for a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Palm Bay Hospital.
Responsibilities- Administer medications to patients and supervise the delegation of patient care activities within the healthcare setting.
- Develop and coordinate interdisciplinary plans of care based on current evidence-based practice.
- Utilize computer systems for order entry, order inquiry, and patient care documentation.
- Provide patient and family education as directed by the plan of care.
- Ensure effective communication with other members of the healthcare team and promote effective team functioning.
- Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
- Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement.
- Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date.
- Must be able to speak/understand written and verbal instructions in the English language.
This role requires the ability to work in an often stressful environment with patients/families at various ages and levels of understanding. The nurse must have the ability to concentrate on multiple priority activities and respond appropriately to life-threatening situations.
