Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Electrical Engineer II to enhance our Energy, Manufacturing & Bioprocessing division. This role is pivotal in supporting diverse market sectors, including industrial food & beverage, refining, power, and advanced biofuels.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as the project discipline lead, overseeing a team of 2-4 engineers.
  • Generate comprehensive electrical design documents and schematics.
  • Serve as the Discipline Representative when necessary.
  • Evaluate and validate the work of team members.
  • Conduct both conceptual and detailed designs for low voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding, motor control systems, and instrumentation.
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders effectively.
  • Facilitate project meetings and deliver presentations.
  • Perform essential electrical calculations, including voltage drop and short circuit analysis.
  • Develop specifications and datasheets for electrical equipment.
  • Travel to project sites for inspections and assessments.
  • Monitor team performance and resource allocation to ensure project adherence.
  • Collaborate with Design/Engineering Managers to maintain project timelines and deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 18 years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in power, energy, or industrial sectors.
  • Proven expertise in Electrical Facility Design.
  • Experience in creating one-line drawings, control schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong understanding of technical Codes and Standards: NEC, IEEE, NFPA, IEC.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD and REVIT.
  • Must be able to work in the office 3-5 days per week.

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited institution is required. A PE License is mandatory.
