POSITION SUMMARY:

The Italian Cuisine Line Cook plays a crucial role in the culinary team, responsible for food preparation and presentation in accordance with the restaurant's menu standards. Key responsibilities include cooking and assembling dishes at designated stations, maintaining cleanliness in preparation areas, and ensuring the kitchen is adequately stocked.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and organize the cooking station and kitchen supplies.
  • Assist in the preparation of various dish components, including chopping vegetables, slicing meats, and creating sauces.
  • Report directly to the Executive Chef and adhere to given instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food preparation and storage.
  • Manage inventory and supply levels effectively.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to cook menu items efficiently.
  • Work alongside servers to guarantee timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and cooking tools, ensuring proper storage of equipment after shifts.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Line Cook in a professional kitchen.
  • A minimum of 2 years specializing in Italian cuisine.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of hygiene and food safety practices.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Demonstrated reliability, friendliness, and punctuality.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety protocols.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
