This position involves making sales calls and engaging with business clients, affluent individuals, and potential prospects to identify their needs, tailor solutions that align with their objectives, and fulfill their requirements for loans, deposits, and services. The Senior Commercial Banking Officer is accountable for achieving growth targets in both deposits and loans, managing a diverse and intricate customer portfolio, and navigating the market landscape. Collaboration with various bank divisions, including Treasury Management, Wealth Management, and Consumer Banking, as well as internal support teams, is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures the quality, profitability, and expansion of business and consumer offerings through appropriate pricing strategies and fee structures.
  • Employs effective sales methodologies to attract, grow, and maintain customer relationships.
  • Utilizes need-based sales approaches to enhance customer engagement by identifying suitable products and services.
  • Develops a business development strategy for the assigned market; identifies opportunities and conducts sales outreach to current clients and prospects.
  • Conducts thorough analysis of customer and prospect financial data to evaluate viability.
  • Reviews loan applications, tax documents, income statements, bank statements, and other pertinent information to assess cash flow and perform ongoing credit evaluations within established guidelines.
  • Identifies and structures large, intricate loan and deposit opportunities that optimize credit quality and profitability.
  • Coordinates portfolio management activities in collaboration with a team that may include Credit Analysts and Commercial Banking Assistants.
  • Applies advanced business acumen and risk management expertise to evaluate the feasibility of loan and deposit opportunities.
  • Prepares and presents accurate, comprehensive, and relevant information to the Loan Committee for approval processes.
  • Oversees ongoing quality assurance for a portfolio by ensuring proper documentation, compliance, and collection practices.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of banking products, services, programs, and promotions.
  • Accountable for achieving market objectives as defined by bank leadership.
  • Utilizes Customer Relationship Management systems to monitor sales activities and prospects.
  • Ensures adherence to internal controls, operational protocols, and risk management policies.
  • Represents the bank in business development initiatives and at community and networking events.
  • Fosters partnerships and collaborates with other business lines to achieve shared goals and enhance customer service.
  • Ensures compliance with AML/BSA regulations, audit procedures, dual control, security measures, Business Continuity, and all other regulatory banking requirements.
  • Adheres to Seacoast Bank's Code of Conduct.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of five years of demonstrated success in Commercial Banking.
  • A four-year degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Ability to analyze market conditions, identify prospects, and develop and implement consultative, value-added sales strategies.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed established performance targets.
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships with business, civic, and governmental entities.
  • Established presence within the local community, with a strong reputation and following.
  • Willingness to adapt work hours to accommodate client needs.
