Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Human Services Program Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Division for Aging Services, you will play a critical role in enhancing the quality of programs provided through Virginia's Area Agencies on Aging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide information, training, and technical assistance to ensure compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations in the delivery of services that enhance older Virginians' quality of life.
  • Monitor and analyze program report data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for enhancement.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on caregiver issues and programs to support them within the Commonwealth.
  • Oversee the Virginia Lifespan Respite Voucher Program and assist with the facilitation of the Virginia Caregiver Coalition.
Requirements
  • Experience working with older adults, family caregivers, and/or older adult programming and monitoring for compliance with federal and state requirements.
  • Experience coordinating federal grants and analyzing various types of complex information and preparing statistical and narrative reports.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and developing, arranging for, and providing training.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of local and state government operations and of the Older Americans Act (OAA).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Zoom.
