Overview

Del Sol Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Clinical Informatics Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare family, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective implementation and support of clinical applications throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Informatics Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Implementing and supporting division-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to CPOE and other clinical applications and tools.
  • Developing, executing, and supporting education plans, tools, and resources focused on the CPOE clinical initiative, Meaningful Use, and additional clinical applications as developed and implemented.
  • Facilitating and project leading the CPOE and advanced clinical system functions implementation.
  • Resolving complex issues and requests escalated from the division Service Desk or other division or facility service resources.
  • Evidence-Based Order set review, approval, and build within the facility.
  • Ongoing monitoring of various advanced clinicals usage trend reports. Identify gaps/areas of opportunity and develop action plan to address areas of concern.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of Meditech and relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Excellent leadership and teaching abilities.
  • Advanced computer skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clinical and information technology personnel.
  • A mature understanding of clinical/operational processes, challenges, and Meditech environment.
  • The ability to delegate tasks and enlist the cooperation and/or assistance of team members and others.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in Meditech and Microsoft Office applications, as well as customer service orientation and/or training, are preferred.
