The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinating all functions within the unit during designated shifts.

Role Responsibilities
In this position, you will:

  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
  • Participate in ongoing assessments of the quality of care services provided in collaboration with the management team.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that enhances teamwork and improves patient outcomes.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving staff engagement and patient satisfaction.
  • Provide recommendations related to staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Manage staff scheduling in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
  • Oversee inventory control and assist in managing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications
Education:

  • Required: ADN
  • Preferred: BSN or MSN
Licensure/Certifications:
  • Required: RN licensure in Texas or compact state, BCLS
  • Preferred: ACLS, National Certification
Experience:
  • Required: Two years of clinical experience in Medical-Surgical nursing
  • Preferred: One year of management experience, Acute Care experience

Del Sol Medical Center is a full-service, acute-care hospital with a Level II trauma designation and over 300 patient beds, providing a wide range of services including emergency care, cardiac care, and rehabilitation.
