Position Overview
The Clinical Applications Nurse Coordinator serves as the primary resource within the facility, responsible for the effective implementation of advanced clinical applications.

This role entails coordinating project assessments, parameter settings, and assisting in the creation of educational and training materials.

The Coordinator will actively participate in the company-wide community for Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) and collaborate with division peers to ensure robust support for advanced clinical applications throughout the facility.

Key responsibilities include ensuring ongoing training, support, and enhancement of Advanced Clinicals and Meaningful Use initiatives, as well as providing additional support for clinical applications across the facility.

Additional duties will encompass managing upgrades and new applications as they are rolled out.

Qualifications Required:
Education:
Associate Degree required; BSN or MSN preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current RN licensure in Texas or a compact state is required.
  • Current BLS certification.

Experience:
Minimum of three years of clinical experience; three to five years of management experience preferred.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of Meditech, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Proven ability to establish and nurture relationships across diverse personality types.
  • Effective communication skills with clinical and IT personnel, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation.
  • Excellent leadership and teaching capabilities.
  • Advanced computer proficiency.
  • Commitment to project goals and objectives.
  • Leadership skills to guide others and maintain a unified vision for project outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels, as well as with vendors and external agents.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Familiarity with the facility's clinical and operational processes, challenges, and Meditech environment.
  • Capability to delegate tasks and foster collaboration among team members.
