Job SummaryThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and coordination of all functions in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This position requires a strong leader who can collaborate with the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the ICU, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- CCRN certification.
- Minimum College: Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN.
- 1-2 years of critical care experience.
- NPR certification.
- TNCC certification.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
