Job Overview

Mission Statement: Our goal is to transition humanity away from fossil fuel heating. A significant portion of global warming emissions in the U.S. originates from residential sources, primarily due to the reliance on fossil fuels for heating. To facilitate this energy shift, over 80 million homes in the U.S. must adopt efficient electric heat pumps in the coming years.

Vision: We believe that achieving this transition requires exceptional products that are both appealing and straightforward to purchase. Current heat pump options often lack aesthetic appeal, underutilize software capabilities, and present challenges during adoption. We are developing a next-generation, elegantly designed, AI-enhanced heating and cooling system that outperforms existing market solutions by a factor of ten. Our approach simplifies the purchasing and adoption process by managing all aspects of sales, rebates, permitting, and installation internally.

Role Summary

We are in search of a dynamic and strategic Operations Lead / Program Manager to elevate our operational capabilities. As a key member of our central operations team, you will contribute to establishing the operational framework for both our field and programmatic teams, positioning Quilt for rapid growth and ensuring seamless daily operations focused on delivering an outstanding customer experience. Your responsibilities will be diverse and will adapt to the evolving needs of the organization.

Your role will encompass setting business performance metrics, initiating pilot programs, and engaging in hands-on execution—from obtaining permits in new regions to analyzing and preparing for market expansions. This position offers extensive exposure across various business functions.

Growth Opportunity: Our operations team is the fastest-growing segment within the company as we prepare to expand into new markets. You will play a crucial role in this growth, laying the groundwork for operational success that will facilitate our expansion into additional cities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead initiatives to create an efficient installation framework, including process development, SOP definition, and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Establish and implement operational workflows and processes for regional field teams.
  • Develop operational metrics and pinpoint strategies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.
  • Launch and oversee pilot programs, including partnerships with installation contractors.
  • Collaborate across departments to plan and execute successful market entries.
  • Empower field service teams to deliver high-quality installation projects punctually while ensuring a positive customer experience.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on excellence.
  • Experience in operations is essential, with a preference for familiarity with trade workers or on-site engineering.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, capable of navigating ambiguous challenges with minimal guidance.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling abilities; proficiency in SQL is advantageous.
  • Ability to think strategically while being eager to engage in execution.
  • Proficient in cross-functional collaboration, seamlessly integrating field and office operations.
  • Excellent project management skills, adept at managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • A genuine interest in home electrification and advancing the energy transition aligned with Quilt's mission.
