A significant portion of global warming emissions in the U.S. originates from residential heating, primarily due to the combustion of fossil fuels. To facilitate this energy shift, over 80 million homes in the U.S. must adopt efficient electric heat pumps in the coming years.

Vision: We believe that achieving this transition requires exceptional products that are not only functional but also appealing to consumers. Current heat pump solutions often lack aesthetic design, underutilize software capabilities, and present challenges during adoption. We are developing a next-generation, aesthetically pleasing, AI-enhanced heating and cooling system that surpasses existing market offerings by a factor of ten. Our approach simplifies the purchasing and adoption process by managing all aspects of sales, rebates, permitting, and installation internally.

Role Description

We are in search of a versatile and strategic Operations Lead / Program Manager to elevate our operational capabilities. As a key member of our central operations team, you will play a crucial role in establishing operational frameworks for both our field and programmatic teams, positioning Quilt for rapid growth and ensuring seamless daily operations that enhance the customer experience. Your responsibilities will be dynamic and will evolve based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive special initiatives to create an efficient installation process, including developing workflows, defining standard operating procedures (SOPs), and pinpointing areas for improvement.
  • Establish and implement operational workflows for field teams across various regions.
  • Develop operational metrics and identify strategies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.
  • Launch and manage pilot programs, including our inaugural partnerships with installation contractors.
  • Collaborate across departments to plan and execute successful market entry strategies.
  • Support our field services teams in delivering high-quality installation projects punctually while ensuring an excellent customer experience.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on excellence.
  • Experience in operations is essential, with additional preference for backgrounds involving trade workers or on-site engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguous challenges independently.
  • Proficient in financial modeling and analytical tasks; familiarity with SQL is advantageous.
  • Ability to think strategically while being eager to engage in hands-on execution.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions, bridging field and office operations.
  • Excellent project management skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • A genuine interest in home electrification and the broader energy transition, along with a passion for the innovative products Quilt is developing.
