As the Staff/Senior Program Manager for Strategic Initiatives, your role will encompass comprehensive management of diverse operational projects aimed at facilitating efficient operations as we scale to meet our core business goals. This includes the onboarding and integration of external vendors to enhance our operational capabilities while refining our existing tools, processes, and procedures. You will engage closely with Operations, Product, Software, Hardware, and other teams to formulate and execute a roadmap that fosters operational efficiency at scale and drives complex initiatives to completion. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing and implementing change management strategies to assist the Fleet Operations team in navigating the transition to commercialization successfully.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to clarify technical requirements, identify process gaps hindering efficient operations at scale, and drive enhancements to our unit economics.
  • Oversee the procurement and integration or internal development of operational tools essential for the successful and efficient operation of our commercial services, ensuring a high-quality consumer experience.
  • Lead the development and execution of detailed plans for the onboarding and integration of third-party vendors across technical tools and operational outsourcing.
  • Formulate and implement comprehensive change management strategies that align with the organization's objectives.
  • Proactively identify potential cross-functional risks associated with key initiatives, maintain a risk register, and devise risk mitigation strategies. Regularly monitor risks and implement contingency plans as needed.
  • Mentor and/or supervise a team of 1-4 Program Managers in support of the Strategic Priorities of the Fleet Operations organization.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in onboarding and/or managing third-party vendors.
  • Familiarity with long sales cycles involving outbound RFI/RFP processes requiring substantial financial analysis.
  • Proven ability to design and execute large-scale change management strategies, with a successful track record in managing complex, large-scale integration projects.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across various organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline (Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Program Management, etc.).
  • Experience in management consulting or strategic consulting.
  • Background in the autonomous vehicle, ride-hail, transportation, or related mobility sectors.
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification is highly preferred.

Compensation for this position includes three main components: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this role is $149,000 to $216,000, with the possibility of a sign-on bonus as part of the compensation package. Compensation may vary based on geographic location and level, with factors such as relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance influencing leveling and positioning within a level.
