Position Title: Senior Operations Supervisor

Role Overview:
As a Senior Operations Supervisor, you will oversee and manage the daily activities of various departments to ensure production goals are met in a high-stakes manufacturing environment. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining compliance with industry standards and enhancing operational efficiency.

Essential Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of surface finishing and detailing processes
- Strong customer engagement and relationship management skills

Education and Experience Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Management, Aviation Maintenance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that equips you to perform the essential functions of this role. A minimum of 18 months of managerial experience with a focus on employee relations, including performance evaluations, hiring and termination recommendations, and fostering employee development in a technical setting.

Position Purpose:
Under moderate supervision, you will plan, coordinate, and supervise the daily operations of one or more departments to fulfill production requirements in an aircraft manufacturing setting. You will ensure adherence to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards, quality benchmarks, productivity targets, budget constraints, and workplace organization practices.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Delegate production tasks, work plans, and scheduling to department leads to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  2. Collaborate with engineering, finance, materials, quality assurance, and other departments to meet schedules and resolve issues.
  3. Assist in troubleshooting production process challenges while minimizing costs and avoiding delays.
  4. Enforce quality control standards and address workmanship issues proactively.
  5. Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to Quality Assurance Procedures (QAP) and collaborate with the Quality Assurance team for necessary updates.
  6. Implement manufacturing strategies that incorporate Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.
  7. Encourage and guide team members towards ongoing process and performance enhancements.
  8. Ensure departmental resources are adequate for task completion and uphold company policies.
  9. Foster a safe working environment by adhering to stringent safety and housekeeping standards.
  10. Contribute to the strategic planning of business units to achieve budgetary, productivity, inventory, delivery, and quality objectives.

Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Develop team members' technical skills and certifications to enhance job performance.
  2. Promote innovation and stay informed about industry best practices.
  3. Ensure departmental emergency plans align with the business unit's continuity strategies.
  4. May participate in flight tests as required for aircraft certification and final phase testing.

Other Requirements:
  1. Demonstrated leadership capabilities in a supervisory capacity.
  2. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and achieve results.
  3. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  4. Proficient in database management and presentation software.

Additional Information:
