Job Overview

The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all facets of Glovis EV's operational activities. This role demands strong leadership to ensure that customer satisfaction is not only met but exceeded. The Senior Manager will directly manage Glovis EV personnel to facilitate their development and align with the company's objectives and standards.

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive initiatives to meet departmental operational KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, cost efficiency, and employee engagement.
  • Implement best practices for Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) with key suppliers, ensuring internal alignment with essential functions such as Quality & Compliance and Planning.
  • Foster collaboration among various Operations departments, unifying efforts to achieve Glovis's mission and objectives.
  • Oversee daily operations for on-site staff, focusing on performance management and employee growth.
  • Continuously assess operational processes to enhance customer satisfaction through value-added activities while employing lean methodologies to minimize waste.
  • Identify operational needs, including staffing and equipment, to achieve production targets.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to review production plans and ensure customer output goals are met.
  • Conduct personnel functions, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Monitor the performance of team members and partners.
  • Act as a liaison among Operations, Safety, Human Resources, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for all Glovis objectives.
  • Analyze monthly Profit & Loss statements to confirm targets are met and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial performance.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management (Master's preferred) or a relevant combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Operations Management within a fast-paced manufacturing or logistics environment, preferably in the automotive sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience with operations management systems is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with database management systems.
  • Ability to efficiently direct work in a dynamic environment.
  • Adaptability to change is essential.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks.

This position primarily involves the use of standard office equipment, including computers and mobile devices. The role may require the ability to lift items weighing up to 30 pounds occasionally. Accommodations will be made based on individual abilities and accessibility needs.

The role is eligible for Glovis EV's comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, and generous paid time off. Additionally, this position qualifies for the Automobile Leasing Program.

Salary Range: The estimated base salary for the Senior Operations Manager is between $124,000 and $138,000. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on various factors, including skills, experience, and market conditions.
