Automation Program Manager

The Automation Program Manager will oversee the development of requirements for all specifications that align with the strategic vision of automation testing.

This role involves crafting functional specifications that are in line with the product roadmap and guiding automation features from initial concept to market readiness throughout the development lifecycle with minimal oversight.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with potential users and stakeholders to comprehend and foresee their needs, translating them into actionable product requirements.

Provide strategic vision and direction for the product to the development team and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to the product roadmap.

Develop user stories that encapsulate requirements for each feature.

Conduct research and analysis to define the market landscape, user needs, and product roadmap.

Manage the product backlog, prioritizing tasks based on evolving requirements.

Oversee all phases of product development, including design and implementation.

Monitor and assess product progress at each stage of the development process.

Participate in or lead Scrum meetings and product sprints.

Share insights from market research and competitive analysis with the team to effectively focus their efforts.

Balance stakeholder needs throughout the development process; advocate for customer interests to the development team while setting appropriate expectations with customers.

Proactively address roadblocks that may hinder the successful completion of release and sprint objectives.

Assist with special projects as required.

Develop training materials for automation users.

Process feedback requests to ensure automation solutions meet end-user requirements.

Maintain comprehensive documentation for automation initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree is mandatory.

Experience:
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a technical role related to automation frameworks, development, or product management, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
Certification as a Scrum Product Owner is preferred.

Experience:
At least 2 years' experience working within an agile framework.

Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated expertise in the relevant product or market, with the ability to develop tailored solutions. This expertise should encompass specific industry or technical knowledge.

Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership capabilities.

Innovative thinker with a clear vision.

Proficient in bridging communication gaps between diverse groups with varying goals and deadlines.

Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.

Ability to collaborate effectively with development teams.

Skilled in solving complex problems and offering fresh perspectives using existing solutions.

Capable of working independently with minimal guidance.

Adaptable and able to manage change effectively.

Proficient in handling multiple tasks while ensuring organization and timely project completion.

Strong attention to detail.

Able to engage with all levels of an organization.
