The American Heart Association is a renowned organization dedicated to shaping the future of cardiovascular and brain health. As we embark on our centennial year, we invite exceptional individuals to join us in driving breakthroughs and implementing proven solutions for healthier people and communities.
We are currently seeking a talented Development Director based in Seattle, Washington, to play a pivotal role in generating revenue for our Heart Challenge campaign. This campaign includes our signature events, such as the Seattle Heart & Stroke Walk and Tacoma Heart & Stroke Walk, which bring together our community and supporters to raise awareness and funds for our mission.
In this dynamic role, you will work in a fast-paced sales environment, driving revenue growth through corporate sponsorships and individual donations. Your expertise will be essential in building and maintaining relationships with high-level leaders at the C-Suite level, securing local corporate partnerships, and cultivating donors to support our mission.
To succeed in this position, you will require a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent fields. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to do daily local travel and lift/move heavy objects (if necessary), are also essential. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of corporate and community networks would be beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive base salary range of $66,700 to $81,200, commensurate with your experience. You will also have access to our comprehensive total rewards package, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, as well as a robust retirement program with an employer match and automatic contribution.
