Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at Joulé in New Haven, CT. This is a direct hire position offering a competitive salary of $85,000 per year.

About the Role

The Clinical Research Support Laboratory (CRSL) is responsible for collecting, processing, stabilizing, documenting, shipping, and tracking research biospecimens from patients participating in clinical trials. As a Laboratory Supervisor, you will be primarily responsible for scheduling and utilizing laboratory resources in the collection of clinical research specimens.

  • Ensure compliance with protocol processing and shipping requirements
  • Oversee adherence to institutional and safety regulations and policies within the assigned laboratory
  • Collaborate with CRSL Management and Clinical Operations to create tools and facilitate logistical and workflow considerations
Responsibilities

This role requires high accuracy in comprehending and following protocols for numerous clinical studies. Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising day-to-day activities of support staff
  • Assisting in policy and procedure development
  • Participating in long-range planning for work unit needs
  • Evaluating work requests to determine their suitability
  • Maintaining equipment and supplies for the unit
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Three years of experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Project management skills and experience managing personnel effectively
  • High-level understanding of research and lab environments
