Position Overview

The Senior Patient Services Specialist operates under the guidance of the Patient Access Services manager, possessing a comprehensive understanding of all operations within Patient Access. This role is pivotal in facilitating patients during the registration process for both scheduled and unscheduled appointments. The individual is equipped to finalize the registration by accurately gathering demographic details, insurance data, securing prior authorizations as necessary, and completing financial clearances while collecting any known patient liabilities prior to or at the time of service.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare, specifically within Patient Access or a business office environment.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration, or equivalent education/experience, or certification as a Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), or related certification.

Compensation Information

The salary range provided is the base pay; additional compensation may be available for this position, including shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses.
