Lead Patient Services Coordinator

Under the guidance of the Patient Access Services manager, the Senior Patient Services Specialist possesses a comprehensive understanding of all operations carried out by Patient Access. This role is pivotal in assisting patients throughout the registration process for both scheduled and unscheduled appointments. The individual is equipped to finalize the registration process by accurately gathering demographic details, insurance data, and securing prior authorizations as necessary, along with insurance notifications, ensuring financial clearance, and collecting patient liabilities (if known) prior to or at the time of service.

Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare sector, specifically within Patient Access or a business office environment.
- Associate's Degree.
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration, or equivalent education/experience.
- Certification as a Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) or a related certification.

Team Overview
Providence Physician Enterprise (PE) is a dedicated service line within Providence, providing quality, compassionate, and coordinated care to patients across seven states. Collectively, our medical groups and affiliated practices represent the third largest group in the nation, comprising over 11,000 providers, 900 clinics, and 30,000 caregivers.
PE includes Providence Medical Group in various states, Swedish Medical Group in the greater Puget Sound area, and several other medical foundations across Southern California and Texas.
