Patient Services Coordinator

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Services Coordinator to join our team at Providence Service. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient registration and financial clearance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients during the registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits
- Collect accurate demographic information, insurance information, and patient liability (if known) at the time of service
- Complete financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts during registration downtimes
- Provide exceptional customer service and greet patients in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner
- Collaborate with the PAS manager to ensure efficient and effective patient registration processes
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient access or business office
- Experience with insurance eligibility systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in healthcare or business administration
- 1 year of knowledge of Epic applications
