About the Role

The Spanish Peaks Mountain Club is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead our culinary team. Key Responsibilities

  • Kitchen Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and develop a team of skilled chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service.
  • Cost Control: Work closely with the Director of Food and Beverage to maintain food and labor costs within budget, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Culinary Trends and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest culinary trends and techniques, seeking opportunities to innovate and improve our menu offerings.
Requirements
  • Culinary Education and Experience: A culinary school graduate or equivalent training, with a minimum of three years' experience as a senior-level chef in a comparable hotel environment.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Culinary Knowledge and Skills: Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles, with the ability to create innovative and delicious dishes.
  • Certifications and Compliance: Possess all necessary safety certifications and knowledge of Public Health regulations.
