Job Summary

The Assistant Athletic Trainer, under the direction of the Director of Athletic Training, is responsible for the daily athletic training needs of assigned intercollegiate athletic teams as well as overall care and maintenance of the athletic training facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional personal care for student-athletes and sport programs, as assigned, with regards to safety, injury prevention, rehabilitation, healthy eating and living, and health insurance matters.
  • Perform daily athletic training duties, including but not limited to, injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.
  • Develop and implement injury prevention programs for assigned teams.
  • Collaborate with coaching staff and other athletic trainers to ensure comprehensive care for student-athletes.
  • Maintain accurate records of student-athlete injuries and treatment plans.
Requirements
  • A master's degree in athletic training or a related field/concentration.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of directly related experience as a certified athletic trainer.
  • Possess state athletic training licensure, in good standing, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or eligible to pursue upon being hired; Certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).
  • Demonstrated experience working with spreadsheets and relevant databases.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three (3) or more years of experience at the Division I collegiate level.
  • Experience managing multiple sports as an athletic trainer.
