The Assistant Athletic Trainer, Sports Medicine Specialist, will be responsible for providing exceptional personal care to student-athletes and sport programs, ensuring their safety, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and overall well-being. This role will also be responsible for the daily athletic training needs of assigned intercollegiate athletic teams and the maintenance of athletic training facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide athletic training services to student-athletes, including injury prevention, rehabilitation, and health insurance matters.
- Manage the daily athletic training needs of assigned intercollegiate athletic teams.
- Maintain athletic training facilities, ensuring they are safe and well-maintained.
- Collaborate with the Director of Athletic Training to develop and implement athletic training programs.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets and relevant databases to track athletic training data.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in athletic training or a related field.
- Minimum of one year of directly related experience as a certified athletic trainer.
- State athletic training licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or eligibility to pursue upon being hired.
- Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC).
- Demonstrated experience working with spreadsheets and relevant databases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three or more years of experience at the Division I collegiate level.
- Experience managing multiple sports as an athletic trainer.
Clearances and Background Checks:
- PA Child Abuse Clearance.
- FBI Fingerprint Background Check.
- PA State Police Criminal Check.
- PA DMV Background Check.
