Athletic Trainer, Sports Medicine Specialist

The Assistant Athletic Trainer, Sports Medicine, will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our student-athletes and sport programs. This includes:
- Providing daily athletic training needs for assigned intercollegiate athletic teams
- Maintaining the overall care and maintenance of the athletic training facilities
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of student-athletes through injury prevention, rehabilitation, and health insurance matters
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing injury prevention and rehabilitation programs for student-athletes
- Providing athletic training services for assigned sports teams, including pre- and post-competition care
- Maintaining accurate records of student-athlete injuries and treatment plans
- Collaborating with coaching staff and other athletic trainers to ensure comprehensive care for student-athletes
- Staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in athletic training and sports medicine
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
- A Bachelor's degree in athletic training or a related field/concentration
- A minimum of one (1) year of directly related experience as a certified athletic trainer
- State athletic training licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or eligibility to pursue upon being hired
- Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Demonstrated experience working with spreadsheets and relevant databases
Candidates with the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Three (3) or more years of experience at the Division I collegiate level
- Experience managing multiple sports as an athletic trainer
The successful candidate will be required to undergo the following clearances and background checks:
- PA Child Abuse Clearance
- FBI Fingerprint Background Check
- PA State Police Criminal Check
- PA DMV Background Check
