Responsibilities- Provide routine care and prevention of athletic injuries in a clinical setting.
- Administer prescribed medications, give injections, and vaccines, and perform electrocardiograms (EKG) and screening tests.
- Obtain and test specimens, document results, and take appropriate action with unexpected results.
- Assist physicians with surgical procedures, including positioning patients, maintaining a sterile field, and wound cleaning and dressing.
- Prepare paperwork to complete patient visits and obtain and document patient vital signs as needed.
- Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and check equipment to ensure proper working order.
- Maintain medication storage closets and participate in orienting new team members.
- Bachelor's degree in athletic training from a CAATE-accredited program or equivalent experience.
- Master's degree in athletic training or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in athletic training or a related field preferred.
- Licensed in the State of Pennsylvania and certified as an Athletic Trainer (ATC).
- Board of Certification (BOC) certified and BLS/CPR certified as a healthcare provider.
