Job Title: Quality Assurance Inspector NDT Level 2

Amee Bay, LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector / NDT Level 2 in Norfolk, VA.

This position will also serve as the on-site quality control inspection of marine hull, mechanical & electrical repairs, upgrades and installation efforts.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Have the necessary training and experience to certify NDT Level II in Visual Inspection (VT) and Liquid Penetrant Inspection (PT) methods.
  • Demonstrates a complete understanding of the requirements for performing work in conjunction with Process Control Procedures (PCP's) including; development and approval, in process control, work completion, testing and certification, and Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) supporting final required reports.
  • Initiates Corrective Action Reports required for the correction of deficiencies / discrepancies related to completion of work items. Evaluates the effectiveness of corrective actions and provides recommendation in the event corrective actions are deemed ineffective.
  • Provides technical assistance to our Production Department for interpretation of quality requirements.
  • Develops Quality Work Instructions for work items in accordance with our Quality Management System and customer requirements, including inspection acceptance / rejection criteria for Test and Inspection Reports (TIRs), Test and Inspection Plans (TIPs), Condition Found Reports (CFRs), Inspection Deficiency Reports (IDRs), Test Memorandum(s), and Work Specifications.
  • Possess the ability to clearly interpret NAVSEA Standard Items and government requirement documents.
  • Employee would be expected to perform internal and external audits, record maintenance, coordinate quality control functions and perform Quality Assurance/Safety surveillance, production support.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
  • Interface daily with the project manager regarding work priorities and progress of projects.
  • Work closely with project manager to identify and remove obstacles.
  • Actively participate in organizational and work-site safety initiatives, incident investigations, etc.
  • May be required to travel to work at locations other than work permanently assigned office location.
  • Must have adequate computer skills; specifically, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • The position requires the ability to organize tasks, prioritize and manage multiple deadlines with attention to detail and accuracy.
Position Requirements:
  • US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance; Candidates currently possessing an Active Secret Clearance are preferred.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience preferred.
  • Valid US Driver's License.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%.
