Job Overview

As a Quality Inspector I-II at Sun Nuclear Corp, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of our products. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of inspection and testing activities aimed at maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Inspection: Evaluate and test materials provided by suppliers to ensure they meet specified standards and assess vendor capabilities. You must demonstrate initiative and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Customer Returns: Conduct inspections and tests on returned products, coordinating necessary repair and calibration processes, and managing return merchandise authorization (RMA) issues.
  • In-Process Product Evaluation: Inspect and test products during the manufacturing process to verify adherence to specifications and assess production capabilities.
  • Final Product Assessment: Perform inspections and tests on finished products to confirm compliance with specifications and evaluate overall process effectiveness.
  • Documentation: Accurately record and report all inspection and testing results, ensuring effective communication and compliance with documentation requirements.
  • Quality Records Maintenance: Maintain comprehensive quality records, including Device History Files and other relevant inspection and testing documentation.
  • Standards Development: Collaborate with Engineering to establish, interpret, and enhance quality standards related to product performance, reliability, and aesthetics.
  • Labeling Compliance: Ensure proper labeling of finished products, including serial number labels and certification markings.
Equipment Utilization

Utilize various inspection and testing equipment, including:

  • X-ray imaging equipment (training provided)
  • Ultrasound imaging equipment (training provided)
  • Measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers
  • Linear scales and surface plates
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Adhere to Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures diligently.
