NDT Level III Examiner

MHI Ship Repair & Services is a leading marine repair and conversion contractor serving the U.S. Navy, Military Sealift Command, Maritime Administration, and commercial ship owners and operators worldwide.
We are seeking a highly skilled NDT Level III Examiner to oversee our non-destructive testing program, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain non-destructive testing techniques and procedures
- Interpret codes and technical references to ensure compliance
- Provide training and certification for NDT inspectors
- Administer and maintain the certification program
- Revises and updates procedures to applicable standards
- Supervise NDT personnel in the QA department
- Meet or exceed MHI's written practice for non-destructive testing
- Qualify to perform NDT inspections according to MHI's internal procedures
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and two years related technical experience
- ASNT Certification preferred but not required
- Knowledge of shipboard structures and systems required
- Minimum of one year NDT experience in the ship repair industry
- Proficient in blueprint reading/interpretation and QA systems
- Knowledge of welding processes and documented ultrasonic experience a plus
- Strong organizational skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
