About the Role

Bonton Farms is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of Development to lead our fundraising efforts and support our mission-based programming. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet our annual fund goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fundraising Strategy and Implementation: Develop and execute fundraising plans to support our strategic objectives and annual budget, including direct mail and online giving solicitations.
  • Donor Relations and Stewardship: Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, conducting regular follow-ups and personal visits, and provide reports and analysis to our President.
  • Grant Writing and Management: Research and identify grant opportunities, write and submit compelling grant proposals, and maintain grant records and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
  • Event Planning and Management: Plan and execute fundraising events, including annual galas, benefit dinners, and community outreach events, and manage event logistics and budgets.
  • Communications and Marketing: Collaborate with our marketing and communications team to create fundraising materials and develop campaigns to increase public awareness and support for our organization.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and mentor development staff, provide guidance and professional development opportunities, and prepare and present regular reports on fundraising progress to our executive team and board.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Non-Profit Management, Business, Communications, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising and a proven track record of successful donor cultivation and solicitation.
  • Skills and Competencies: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and project management skills, proficiency in fundraising software and donor databases, and ability to analyze donor data and generate reports.
