Position Overview: The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for overseeing all facets of the program at a designated site. As a key member of the Leadership Team, the CEO is expected to embody and advocate for the mission, values, philosophy, and vision of the organization, integrating these principles into the daily operations of the community.


Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Vision:

Foster an environment that encourages the growth of staff and clients through a culture of belonging, support, empowerment, initiative, collaboration, curiosity, wellbeing, and development.

Supervise and guide all team members to leverage their skills and strengths effectively. This includes providing mentorship and oversight to managers, ensuring effective communication and teamwork, and promoting active listening.

Ensure the team receives appropriate training and professional development in core content areas and evidence-based practices that align with our mission and values. This encompasses topics such as Neurodiversity, Autism, Executive Functioning Challenges, Anxiety Management, and Collaborative Problem Solving.

Solicit and implement feedback from stakeholders regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion to ensure these goals are reflected in hiring practices and daily operations. This includes:

  • Celebrating the diversity of our staff and clients,
  • Creating an atmosphere of acceptance and respect,
  • Pursuing social justice objectives by including diverse perspectives in discussions,
  • Reviewing policies through a justice lens,
  • Encouraging multicultural celebrations and traditions,
  • Engaging in community activities that support diversity and inclusion.

Operational Oversight:

Ensure the delivery of high-quality programming across key areas of Living, Learning, Giving, and Engaging. Lead a student-centered goal-setting process, incorporating a strengths-based approach to promote success.

Build constructive relationships with families, providing them with clear information about our services and how they align with their needs.

Provide crisis intervention support for staff dealing with students facing mental health challenges, and collaborate with leadership to assess student safety and support needs.

Participate in on-call duties as necessary to maintain operational continuity, which may involve being available during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Document incidents and actions taken during on-call periods to ensure accountability and continuity of care.


Human Resources Partnership:

Collaborate with Human Resources in the recruitment, training, and development of new staff, ensuring compliance with established policies in various domains.

Manage annual transition planning processes for student re-enrollment or program enrollment, balancing multiple stakeholder perspectives.


Facility Management:

Maintain a professional and welcoming environment, overseeing facilities management with the Executive Team's support.

Work with the Executive Team to develop an annual budget, managing resources to meet financial goals while participating in strategic decision-making.


Stakeholder Engagement:

Cultivate meaningful relationships with educational consultants and local institutions to enhance support for students and ensure ongoing referrals.


Strategic Planning:

Design and implement innovative programs in collaboration with the Executive Team, monitoring industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement.


Qualifications:
  • A graduate degree in social or behavioral sciences.
  • 3-5 years of experience in crisis intervention and leadership roles.
  • Extensive experience in coaching, supervision, and project management.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices related to neurodiversity and mental health.

Required Skills: Strong leadership, budgeting knowledge, ability to relate to diverse stakeholders, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to adapt to change with compassion.
