Job Summary

At Jay Peak Resort, we're seeking a highly skilled and physically fit Loader Operator to join our Winter Operations team. As a key member of our snow removal crew, you'll be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, snowplows, and sanding/salting trucks to ensure safe driving, parking, and walking conditions on our resort property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate front-end loaders, snowplows, and other equipment to remove ice and snow from roads, parking lots, walkways, and assigned areas.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and repair tasks, including checking and changing vehicle fluids, fueling, and greasing.
  • Inspect equipment on a regular basis and comply with safety precautions and regulations.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and record time and locations of plowing operations.
  • During the spring, summer, and fall, assist with general road crew and other crews involved in earthwork, maintenance, and construction of facilities, and storm water management.
Requirements
  • Valid Vermont Driver's License and ability to meet requirements of Jay Peak Resort's automobile insurance policies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with early morning starts, extended hours, and weekend duty, including holidays.
  • Physical stamina to operate heavy equipment and perform manual labor in varying weather conditions.
