Ampcus is in search of a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with proven expertise in software testing across both agile and waterfall methodologies. This role is crucial for ensuring that our software products meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive testing strategies tailored to specific projects/releases, aligning with industry best practices and company guidelines.
  • Formulate detailed test plans and execution strategies, ensuring adherence to timelines and project milestones.
  • Continuously assess projects throughout their lifecycle, pinpointing opportunities for enhancement.
  • Provide updates to senior management, including progress reports, strategic plans, and identification of risks and challenges.
  • Design, implement, and maintain a robust test library encompassing test scenarios to guarantee thorough requirements coverage and regression testing, both positive and negative, in accordance with Ampcus protocols.
  • Create and document test cases (manual) for both internal teams and external clients.
  • Facilitate meetings as needed, including discussions focused on defect management.
  • Conduct manual testing procedures.
  • Oversee and coordinate QA projects within the QA team, ensuring effective communication and distribution of tasks.
  • Prepare End User Release Notes and Technical Documentation with precision and clarity.
  • Estimate task durations and ensure timely delivery in line with established schedules.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Information Systems or a related discipline, and/or an ISTQB certification.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role on projects, with at least 10 years of experience in quality assurance.
  • Proficient in evaluating, writing test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong aptitude for identifying defects and bugs during manual testing of software applications.
  • Experience in an agile software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Skilled in crafting test cases for end users, user acceptance testing participants, and business stakeholders, with a strong command of the English language.
  • Able to interpret business requirements and technical specifications effectively.
  • Basic understanding of source control and configuration management practices.
  • Knowledge of Software Quality Assurance best practices and standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Competent in reading and interpreting technical documents and producing a variety of business and technical documentation, including presentations on team activities.
  • At least 10 years of experience in:
    • Creating Test Plans
    • Creating Test Scenarios
    • Creating Test Cases for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for external clients
    • Experience in one of the following industries: Capital Markets, Mortgage-Backed Securities, or Financial Services.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA and Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional proficiency in the English language is required: Ability to independently draft materials for publication on public platforms and for use by client stakeholders and end users.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in Data Testing, including SQL.
  • Certifications in Agile methodologies, Project Management, or ISTQB.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in an Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) team.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio or similar diagramming tools.
  • Experience in Automation Testing.
