Position Overview:

We are collaborating with a prominent organization specializing in advanced hardware and software solutions for critical sectors, including aerospace and defense. We are in search of a qualified Quality Inspector to enhance our client's workforce. The ideal candidate should possess at least 2 years of experience in the manufacturing or inspection domains, particularly with electronic components and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections on products within various operational areas.
  • Review product build documentation and end-item data packages to ensure compliance.
  • Perform thorough inspections on both electrical and mechanical components at the piece part and assembly levels.
  • Maintain quality standards and best practices in assigned work areas by adhering to process specifications.
  • Assist in the creation of training materials for the Quality Assurance team.
  • Generate nonconformance reports for any discrepancies identified during inspections.
  • Conduct audits of work areas to verify adherence to quality management standards.
  • Review product build documentation for configuration audits to ensure alignment with design requirements.
  • Act as a safety representative during critical operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in quality inspection, auditing, testing, and documentation.
  • Ability to interpret engineering documentation and inspect according to drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with IPC standards for soldered electrical and electronic assemblies.
  • Proficient in using inspection tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Competent in Microsoft applications and quick to learn new software.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and TIPQA is a plus.
  • Exceptional technical writing skills are essential.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years in manufacturing or inspection of electronic components and assemblies.
