Ampcus is on the lookout for a Senior Software Testing Engineer/Quality Assurance Specialist with proven expertise in software testing across both agile and waterfall development methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive testing strategies tailored for specific projects/releases, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational standards.
  • Formulate detailed test plans and execution strategies, guaranteeing that the team adheres to established timelines.
  • Assess projects throughout their lifecycle, pinpointing opportunities for enhancement.
  • Provide updates to senior management, including progress reports, planning, risk assessments, and issue identification.
  • Create, execute, and maintain a robust test library, ensuring thorough requirements coverage and regression testing, utilizing both positive and negative testing methodologies in accordance with Ampcus protocols.
  • Draft manual test cases for both internal teams and external clients.
  • Facilitate meetings as needed, including defect management discussions.
  • Conduct manual testing activities.
  • Oversee and coordinate QA projects within the QA team.
  • Prepare End User Release Notes and Technical Documentation with precision, completeness, and high quality.
  • Provide task estimations and ensure timely delivery in line with specified schedules.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Information Systems or a related field, and/or an ISTQB certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of project leadership experience and at least 10 years in quality assurance.
  • Proficient in evaluating, writing test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong aptitude for identifying defects/bugs during manual testing of software applications.
  • Experience in an agile software development lifecycle.
  • Skilled in drafting test cases for end users, user acceptance testing participants, and/or business stakeholders, with a strong command of the English language.
  • Ability to read and interpret business requirements and technical specification documents.
  • Basic understanding of source control and configuration management.
  • Knowledge of Software Quality Assurance best practices and standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in team settings.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting technical documents and producing various business and technical documents, including presentations on team activities.
  • At least 10 years of experience in:
    • Developing Test Plans
    • Creating Test Scenarios
    • Formulating Test Cases for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for external clients
    • Experience in one of the following industries or equivalents: Capital Markets, Mortgage-Backed Securities, Financial Services.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA and Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional proficiency in the English language is mandatory: Must be capable of independently crafting materials for publication on public platforms and for use by client stakeholders and end users.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in Data Testing, including SQL.
  • Certifications in Agile methodologies, Project Management, or ISTQB.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Background in an Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) team.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio or other diagramming solutions.
  • Experience in Automation Testing.
