Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role involves collaborating with our government clients and contributing to the development of high-quality software solutions. This position is remote and requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough testing of geospatial applications, ensuring adherence to quality assurance standards and software engineering practices.
  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases, focusing on both manual and automated testing methodologies.
  • Collaborate with team members to create and maintain automation test scripts for UI and API, incorporating dynamic test data.
  • Perform performance and load testing, providing insights and recommendations based on findings.
  • Document testing processes and results, ensuring clear communication of defects and issues within the defect tracking system.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on automation testing concepts and best practices.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in software quality assurance engineering.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in developing automated test scripts and executing test cases.
  • Proficiency in automated testing tools such as Gauge (Java+Selenium, Cucumber) and API testing tools like ReadyAPI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot software and system issues independently.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment, primarily indoors, with standard office equipment usage. The role may require sitting for extended periods and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
