Job Overview:
GrubStreet seeks a Student Support Assistant to provide exceptional support to students in our creative writing programs. Key responsibilities include responding to inquiries, following up with students, coordinating classes and events, and maintaining accurate information on our website.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and helpful responses to student inquiries via email and phone
  • Proactively follow up with students based on survey feedback and collaborate with the Director of Faculty as needed
  • Support the delivery of in-person classes and events, including coordinating materials and setting up for events
  • Coordinate reading and graduation events, ensuring a seamless experience for students
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on class pages and the website
  • Support the Director of Faculty in helping students enroll in intensive programming, including updating applications and tracking spreadsheets
  • Coordinate with the Finance team and Director of Faculty on student refund requests
  • Manage the schedule for sending out student surveys at key points during and after programs
  • Manage the application calendar and notification process for students and fellows, coordinating with Marketing and instructors
  • Create and submit invoices for vendor and guest speaker payments
  • Support accepted students in registering for classes and track attendance for alumni events
