Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team at Josephs Classic Market. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment & Interviewing: Collaborate with the HR team and operations to identify staffing needs and recruit and interview to fill positions. Conduct exit interviews to ensure a smooth transition for departing employees.
  • Onboarding & Training: Coordinate week 1 with new hires and the operations team, host new hire orientation, and follow up on training certification to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Reporting: Manage various reporting dashboards for the HR manager and operations visibility to provide insights into HR metrics.
  • Pay & Department Changes: Work with management to maintain consistent pay scales and follow up on pay rate reviews to ensure fairness and equity.
  • HRIS System: Ensure accurate and confidential handling of employee records and documentation in ADP to maintain compliance and data integrity.
  • Administrative Support: Handle general administrative tasks such as filing, scheduling meetings, and managing correspondence to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Miscellaneous Reports: Generate reports on EEO1, Census, Payroll Productivity, Turnover, and other relevant metrics to inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in an HR support role or administrative role preferred.
  • Skills:
  1. Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
  2. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems. ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus.
  5. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Working Conditions

Open office environment with standard working hours.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer.
  • Occasional lifting of office supplies and files.
