Key Responsibilities
  • System Administration:
    • Manage and monitor SAP ECC systems, including system health checks, user administration, and authorization management.
    • Perform regular SAP system maintenance tasks such as system refreshes, kernel upgrades, patch management, and transport management.
  • System Performance and Tuning:
    • Monitor system performance, analyze system logs, and perform performance tuning to optimize SAP ECC system performance.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP ECC systems, databases, and underlying infrastructure.
  • System Support:

  • Backup and Recovery:

    • Conduct regular system backups and disaster recovery drills to ensure readiness for any unexpected outages.
  • System Upgrades and Migrations:
    • Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and patch management activities.
    • Provide support during SAP projects including system installations, configuration, and go-live support.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain up-to-date documentation for SAP ECC systems, processes, and procedures.
    • Generate and analyze system performance reports, providing recommendations for improvements.
Requirements
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration within an AMS or support environment.
    • Strong experience with SAP ECC systems.
    • Experience in managing SAP landscapes in on-premise environments is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in SAP Basis administration, including system installation, configuration, and maintenance.
    • Deep understanding of SAP ECC architecture and components.
    • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows) and databases (Oracle, MSSQL).
    • Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager for system monitoring and management.
    • Experience with backup and recovery tools and disaster recovery processes.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
