Program Insights

Our Specialized Crisis Services program is dedicated to supporting children and adolescents under 18 years old who are facing crises, including suicidal ideation, aggressive behavior, or severe psychological disturbances. The program emphasizes collaboration with clients, families, and other essential stakeholders to evaluate risks and protective factors, ensuring safety for all involved. Our approach prioritizes the least restrictive environment, utilizing a systematic treatment model that focuses on family engagement to facilitate change across various settings, including home, school, and community.

Role Specifics

  • Deliver mobile crisis intervention and comprehensive, strengths-based assessments for children and families in their familiar surroundings.
  • Employ crisis respite facilities when necessary.
  • Provide continuous support and intervention to stabilize families until suitable services are arranged.
  • Work during non-traditional hours.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule.
  • Collaborate effectively in a highly supervised environment.
  • Utilize online documentation accessible from home.
  • Engage with adult crisis teams and community stakeholders.
  • Travel may extend beyond a 60-mile radius from the office.
  • Attendance at meetings may be required on days off.
  • Maintain an acceptable driving record, with no more than three moving violations in the past 36 months.

Additional Details

Work schedules are variable and will be elaborated upon during the interview. Most assessments are conducted in person, though virtual options may be available.

Our teams operate from various locations, and schedules are adaptable based on the needs of the youth and families we serve. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, a personal vehicle for work-related tasks, and appropriate auto insurance. Community-based staff will receive mileage reimbursement for applicable travel.

Compensation

The annual salary is $58,000, contingent upon educational background and clinical licensure.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

A Master's degree in a clinical or mental health discipline is mandatory.

Candidates nearing completion of their Master's degree in mental health or clinical fields may also be considered. Acceptable degrees include Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy; other degrees will be assessed for eligibility.

Preferred candidates will have at least one year of clinical experience with youth. Those who are provisionally licensed or pursuing licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT) are highly favored.

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. Basic computer proficiency is required, and candidates must be adaptable with their schedules. Counselors must have their own vehicle for work purposes and carry liability insurance.

Maintaining an acceptable driving record is necessary, with no more than three moving violations in the past 36 months.
