Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Financial Operations Coordinator. This role will be responsible for coordinating and performing all duties involved in the recording, accounting, and reporting of student debts owed to the College.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record and account for student receipts in an accurate manner
  • Provide outstanding customer service to employees, students, and vendors
  • Prepare and distribute accurate and timely monthly billing to students, third parties, and other debtors
  • Ensure that all student room, board, and miscellaneous charges are accurately recorded
  • Account for all cash on hand and maintain accurate records
  • Validate student identification cards and record scholarship awards
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and maintain and process files of credit memos
  • Follow up to ensure that requisitions are originated on invoices that arrive without a PO number
  • Record distribution of credit cards and cash advances
  • Monitor Visa and American Express purchases and maintain organized files on all receipts, purchase orders, and statements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School/GED
  • Two years of computerized accounts receivable or accounts payable experience
  • Data entry experience, accuracy, speed, and superior organizational skills
  • Friendly and professional manner
  • Valid Kansas driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree or certificate
Work Environment

This role will be based in the Administration Building/Business Services department.
