Role Responsibilities:

This opportunity is open to applicants interested in adjunct nursing faculty roles for clinical rotations, skills lab instruction, and didactic courses within the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Pre-Licensure Program. Applications will be reviewed continuously, and qualified candidates will be contacted as positions become available. The review process typically occurs in the fall and spring semesters.

Employment Type:

Part-time, temporary positions for Nursing Course Adjunct or Nursing Clinical Adjunct roles. Contracts will vary based on semester and enrollment needs, with opportunities for day, evening, and weekend courses, offered in-person or in a blended format.

Clinical Instructor Role:

As a Nursing Clinical Adjunct, you will oversee and evaluate a group of 4-10 nursing students during clinical shifts, typically scheduled Monday through Friday between 6 am and 8 pm. Comprehensive onboarding, training, and ongoing support will be provided.

Nursing Skills Lab Instructor Role:

In this position, you will teach entry-to-practice nursing students in the skills lab, overseeing and evaluating 10-18 students during 4-hour lab sessions, generally scheduled Monday through Friday between 8 am and 5 pm. Support and training will be available to all instructors.

Didactic Instructor Role:

As a Nursing Course Adjunct, you will be responsible for teaching and evaluating a group of 12-50 nursing students in didactic courses, typically scheduled MWF or TR at consistent times. Ongoing support and training will be provided.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Required: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
    Preferred: Graduate degree in Nursing (Master’s or Doctorate - PhD, DNP, or EdD)
  • Licensure:
    Valid nursing license in Minnesota is required; a Wisconsin license is necessary if clinicals are conducted in Wisconsin.
  • Experience:
    Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in areas such as community health, mental health, acute care, maternal/child, or pediatrics. Experience in nursing education and/or precepting is preferred. Familiarity with CANVAS and ATI learning systems is a plus.
  • Skills:
    Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, along with excellent management and supervisory abilities.
