Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Winona Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Family Birth Center and Medical-Surgical units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and educational needs.
  • Modify care plans based on patient needs and consult with medical staff as necessary.
  • Act as a resource to other team members, including students.
  • Stay up-to-date on current nursing practices, medications, and legal issues related to patient care.
  • Follow infection control policies and maintain a safe environment for patients.
  • Conduct medical screening exams under the direction of OB providers.
  • Collect, interpret, and document patient data in the EMR and communicate with other healthcare team members.
  • Coordinate newborn care and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • May be required to float to the ICU as necessary.
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • RN License in Minnesota.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation certification required within one year.
  • STABLE Certification required within one year.
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training will be provided with recertification required every two years.
  • Trauma Training is completed in-house and needs to be completed by end of orientation.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook, and Patient Information Database (Cerner).
Preferred Qualifications
  • ACLS.
  • Prior maternity nursing experience is desired for Family Birth Center positions.
