Job Summary

MedStar Health is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to support the Operating Room unit at MedStar Franklin Square Hospital. This full-time position involves providing administrative support to the department, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide diversified administrative duties, including typing, dictation, filing, and interfacing with staff and the public.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate record keeping and filing systems to ensure timely retrieval of information.
  • Supply Management: Order and maintain inventory of supplies, and assist in the care and maintenance of equipment.
  • Payroll and Data Entry: Process departmental payroll and associated recordkeeping, and provide data entry support as needed.
  • Meetings and Events: Arrange meetings, conferences, and seminars, and type memorandums, policies, committee minutes, manuals, letters, forms, procedures, and other documents as directed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience: 2 years of clerical/office experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Medical office, hospital, or ambulatory care experience.
